Continue through rolling hills and lush tea plantations, enjoying the beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival in Nyungwe, check in at your lodge, have lunch, and spend a relaxing afternoon taking in the surroundings. End the day with a freshly prepared dinner and overnight stay in the heart of Nyungwe Forest.

Begin your day before sunrise with a 5:00 AM chimpanzee tracking adventure in the heart of Nyungwe Forest. Follow experienced trackers through the misty jungle as you listen to the calls of the wild and watch playful chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Afterward, return to the lodge to relax and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, take in breathtaking views on the iconic Canopy Walk, suspended high above the forest floor.

Along the way, stop at a local tea plantation to learn about tea processing, from picking fresh leaves to crafting the perfect cup. After an early breakfast, head to Kinigi Park Headquarters for a 7:00 AM briefing. Guides assign you a gorilla family and explain trekking rules. The 2–5 hour trek takes you through lush forest trails to spend a magical hour with gorillas in their natural habitat. Afterward, return to your lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, visit the Gorilla Guardians Village to enjoy traditional music, dance, and learn about Rwandan customs.
