  • Upon arriving at Kigali International Airport, your friendly guide will warmly welcome you and introduce your journey ahead. You will be transferred to your hotel for check-in and some relaxation after your travels. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner as you settle in for a comfortable overnight stay, ensuring you’re well-rested for the adventures that await in the days to come.

  • Rise early and depart Kigali at 5:00 AM for Akagera National Park. Begin your safari with a morning game drive, observing elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and antelopes across the park’s savannah landscapes. In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful boat safari on Lake Ihema, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birds, including the majestic African fish eagle and the elusive shoebill stork, as you soak in the tranquil waters and wildlife.

  • After breakfast, spend a full day exploring Akagera’s diverse ecosystems on game drives. Track elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, and zebras, capturing beautiful wildlife moments. Marvel at the vast savannah, rolling hills, and shimmering lakes as your guide shares insights about the animals and their habitats. Return to the lodge in the evening for a delightful dinner and overnight stay, reflecting on a day filled with nature’s wonders.

  • Leave Akagera and journey towards Nyungwe Forest, stopping at key cultural sites along the way. Visit the King’s Palace in Nyanza to explore Rwanda’s royal heritage, then continue to Butare to tour the Ethnographic Museum and learn about traditional customs. Continue your scenic drive through rolling hills and lush landscapes before arriving at Nyungwe Forest, where you will settle in for overnight, ready for the rainforest adventures that await.

  • Start your day early with a thrilling chimpanzee trek in Nyungwe Forest, spotting chimpanzees, monkeys, and colorful birds in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for lunch and a short break. In the afternoon, experience both the canopy walk and an adventurous zipline above the dense rainforest, enjoying panoramic views and an adrenaline-filled adventure that showcases the beauty and biodiversity of this remarkable jungle.

  • After leaving Nyungwe Forest in the morning, travelers embark on a scenic drive toward Volcanoes National Park, passing rolling hills and lush valleys. Along the way, they stop at the picturesque Lake Kibuye for a relaxing boat trip, exploring several of the lake’s beautiful islands. On one of the islands, they enjoy a short hike, taking in panoramic views, fresh air, and photo opportunities. Following the hike, a delicious lunch is served by the lake, allowing everyone to recharge. In the afternoon, the journey continues as they drive to Volcanoes National Park, arriving in time to unwind and prepare for the exciting gorilla and golden monkey trekking adventures that await.

  • You’ll start early with breakfast, then head to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for golden monkey trekking. These lively primates inhabit the bamboo forests and provide a playful and memorable experience. After the trek, you’ll pass through Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund / Dian Conservation, a site dedicated to gorilla research and conservation. Enjoy a delicious lunch before continuing your drive across the Cyanika border into Uganda. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge.

  • Today’s highlight is mountain gorilla trekking in Mgahinga. After an early breakfast, you’ll transfer to the briefing point and begin your trek through the dense forest in search of a gorilla family. Once found, you’ll spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After returning to the lodge for lunch and rest, enjoy an afternoon visit to the Batwa community for cultural entertainment and storytelling. This unforgettable day combines incredible wildlife encounters with rich local culture.

  • After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning before departure. Afterward, have lunch and then drive back to Kigali. Upon arrival, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda’s history and pay your respects. After the visit, you will be transferred to the airport or your accommodation, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences of your journey.
